Your Responsibilities
Sensirion offers you a variety of exciting challenges every day. Set new standards in the field of sensor technology as part of a highly motivated interdisciplinary team. Your future colleague, Martin (Senior Project Leader in R&D Sensor Innovation), describes his day-to-day work below.
What are the specific tasks?
In Sensor Innovation, we develop innovative product ideas based on new or existing technologies, thus continuously enhancing Sensirion's leading position in the sensor sector. In close collaboration with our technology experts, I conceive new optical sensor concepts and bring them to prototype stage, following lean and agile development methodologies. Together with colleagues from Business Development we compile the business case for the sensor product. What are the daily challenges?
We work in small interdisciplinary teams. In the team I lead the technical work packages and work on tasks myself, e.g. concept design, sensor characterization or requirement discussions with potential customers. The team operates somewhat like a start-up. I thus face the challenge of handling different activities and have a multitude of internal and external interfaces to serve. This requires a high degree of self-organization. Further, since we are exploring new sensor solutions, the path to achieve the goal is normally not known. Creativity and novel approaches are required. For me, it is this very versatility and the technical challenges that I enjoy and thrive on.What are the daily challenges?
