Your Profile

  • Completed studies (BSc, MSc, PhD) in physics, electrical engineering, mechanics or mechatronics (FH / TU / ETH)
  • Sound understanding of physical and mathematical correlations
  • Experience with electronic systems, measurement technology, as well as programming skills in scripting languages such as Python or Matlab
  • Interest in the areas of IoT and sensor technology

Your Responsibilities

We develop new IoT solutions, reducing greenhouse gas emissions such as methane gas. Our products consist of autonomous devices with solar cells, sensors, connectivity, cloud and algorithms. Become part of the core team for the Nubo Air and Nubo Sphere products to drive these exciting solutions forward and successfully establish them in the market. As an application engineer, you will play a key role in the success of our products and thus make a contribution to combating global warming. Your future colleague, Nico (R&D Engineer), describes his activities below.
Personenbild

What are the specific tasks?

As an R&D Engineer, I develop and test IoT solutions for monitoring air quality in cities and reducing harmful greenhouse gases in industry. I evaluate new technologies, take care of their integration into the overall system and test them both in the lab and in the field. The tasks are very diverse and include novel sensors, electronic systems, hardware components, cloud solution with algorithms and much more. My work is characterised by a close exchange with colleagues from development, product management and sales.

What are the daily challenges?

We operate in a new and rapidly developing market where the time between product idea and market launch is often very short. Therefore, we have to react quickly to changes and be open to new things. This requires a pragmatic approach and a willingness to leave out the unimportant. In addition, you have to be able to familiarise yourself with new topics quickly. This requires both good practical skills and a sound understanding of physics.
